I see it's been quite a while since updating my page. There are several reasons of course, foremost being that I have not acquired any new pieces.  Ebay dried up a few years ago, and the few possibly authentic pieces I do see occasionally are priced very high.  I'm also starting to see more eBay Live Auction listings with outrageous prices, and just as many fakes there as well. Perhaps the phrase 'Live Auction' seems to suggest to something being authentic.  It does not. The only advantage to a live auction, is the ability to examine closely the piece in question. Only the floor bidders have that advantage.

To offset the inactivity of my collection page, I've decided to create a new area for my viewers. This page will contain a piece of interest from time to time, in this case a piece I used to own many years ago. I've seen a few similar pieces on the Internet, but few are accompanied with detailed information about the decoration. As with my Anhui Dish, and the additional info I provide on the Annam Vase, the extra information and images may help the collector.

I'm including the Wade-Giles name (in red) with the images since most history books make reference using Wade-Giles transliteration. Above each image is the correct Pinyin transliteration.
